Individual therapy starts with getting to know each other and discussing the reasons that you have chosen to pursue counselling. This usually involves goal setting and highlighting what success would look like for you. This helps me understand what therapeutic approaches would be useful in our work together and allows me to begin to formulate a treatment plan.

My goal is always to help you quickly build coping skills while we move towards lasting long-term change. Some clients find their situational issues resolved in as few as two to three sessions while others like to remain in therapy long-term as their issues might be more complex.

Sessions are 50-60 minutes in length.
