Nice to meet you

ABOUT ME

If you are feeling overwhelmed in your life or relationship I am here to inspire hope and to help empower you to navigate life with calm confidence. It is normal to need support. Sometimes help is required to understand why you are feeling stuck so that a perspective shift can take place.

I help clients explore their behaviours so that they can optimize their life, prevent self-sabotage and build authentic connections with themselves and others. This process usually entails exploring the past so that clients can achieve a deeper understanding of why they are the way they are, making change feel possible. Through a deeper understanding of self, the architecture of change can be built, enabling the potential for personal and relational transformation.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (membership #18555) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and have completed a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. In addition, I have undertaken training in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Relational Life Therapy.

I look forward to being part of your journey.

My methods

Relational Life Therapy

Relational Life Therapy (RLT) is a method that explores the past to explain the present. It helps individuals and couples take control of their inner selves which might be motivating them to make impulsive, emotional decisions rather than thoughtful ones.

Humanistic Therapy

You are the expert in your own life. Humanistic therapy focuses on a person's individual potential, personal growth, self-awareness and free will. It emphasizes helping people become their most authentic and fulfilled selves.

Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is focused on the here and now, helping clients change unhelpful thought patterns, emotions and behaviours in a way that restructure the way people respond to emotional triggers.

Emotion Focused Therapy

Based on attachment theory, Emotion Focused Therapy helps individuals and couples strengthen emotional bonds and helps build new behaviours around expressing and managing feelings in a constructive, empowering manner.
